Dan has been building and selling pens since 2017. His experience in wood, however goes back to his high school years in the 1960's. His love for the craft and his pure enjoyment of dealing with people and finding ways to help them have been a part of him since his first job.
After a tour in the United States Air Force, Dan found a job that forced him to be behind a desk. Which he didn't care for, but he became good at office and accounting work work.
Eventually, he moved into retail and customer service, finding his skills with people excelling him forward. In fact, his motto became a focus on ensuring the "customer was always right!"
He recalls the quote from J.C Penney himself (who was his own employer at the time) saying, "It's a fraction of a penny that you lose in the process of making certain every customer leaves happy." This Dan grabbed onto and keeps it in his business dealing today.
